0-2
Well I lost headsup to Rizen in that 50-1r 1a tourney.. I think ive played it 3 times( maybe 4).. and ive won twice and took 2nd in it.. Yesterday I went back home to look at some houses, found one I really really liked.. put a great offer on it.. but again someone topped my offer..Pretty standard really.. I won a bar tourney last night with like 50 people.. I won every flip at the final table and had 2 bbs at one point.. shippppp. Tonight is my pool league championship.. ill probably play poker Thursday night... and then Saturday night/ Sunday.. then ill be putting a ton of volume in up until I go to Indy for the 5k circuit event which im obv gonna win.

One of my problems
I think one of my problems is I expect too much out of people.. I hold other people to the same standard as I do myself.. If I want something.. I do EVERYTHING I can to get it.. I think that is what has allowed me to have a fair amount of success in poker. I have just worked harder then about anyone to be able to live the life that I want to live. I expect that people are goal-oriented and driven.. and thats just not the case. Alot of people are completely happy with mediocrity and thats completely fine. Its their life, they can live it how they want too.. I guess I just have always wanted more out of my life.. so I just work really hard.. So im going to stop pushing myself onto other people and let them live their own lives, how they want. I need to stop being so concerned with bettering other people, and just focus on bettering my own life.
I didnt get the house I wanted, They didnt even tell me about it until today( a week after i put an offer in).. If you are buying a house in the Appleton area dont buy one from Sherry Curtis.. shes the most unprofessional person that ive ever seen in the real estate field. Ill be up there this week to look at more houses and then hopefully close on one ASAP so I can get out of Milwaukee.

Comin around
It seems things are starting to be a bit more consistent in my game.. I think the best part of my game is chipping up on the FT bubble and then closing out a tourney.. I think my biggest weakness is trying TOO hard to run over a table when its not the right time... I have 5 cashes over 1k so far this month with 6 final tables.. I guess im gonna try getting a final table for every day this month.. so 31??? Thatd be pretty sick.. itd be nice to pop off a huge score relatively soon as well.
I'm probably going to buy a house in the next month in my hometown.. I'm really excited about being home and seeing the people I used to hang out with ALL the time. It will also be nice being close to my mom because I don't see her nearly as often as I should. As for traveling.. I really have nothing planned in the next month or so.. I may go down to Indiana for a Circuit event there but I think ill wait and maybe go to Vegas middle of April for some shin dig at Caesars.. other then that ill be grindin online a majority of the days.. Then ill be in Vegas all June except for 5 days in June where ill be back home for a basketball tourney that I love playing in. Alot of people have asked what my typical day is like.. so ill try to tell you what I tend to do on a daily basis....
I usually wake up around 3:30 or 4pm.. I get on the computer and read the forums.. etc etc.. then usually I like to get to the local gym and be back by 6pm for the nightly tourneys.. Usually if I don't have time to work out before the nightly tourneys ill just workout early in the morning before I go to bed.. Again, my sleeping schedule is constantly evolving so one week I could be waking up at 4pm.. and the next week I could be going to bed at 4pm.. At 6pm ( central) I enter the 75 on FTP, the 100 freeze, 10 freeze, and 10 1r 1a on Stars.. at 7 is when the fun starts.. 3r on stars.. 27 freeze, 100k on FTP, 24 buy in on ftp.. then 8pm its nightly 100k, maybe a 20 rebuy in there.. the ftp 30 rebuy is usually in there somewhere..then 8:30 is the two nightly 50-50s.. 9pm = 10r on stars.. the two big daily doubles on FTP.. the 24 freeze on ftp. .and the 15 freeze on stars that I went back to back in a few weeks ago.. Thats usuually it for me.. maybe a UB tourney in there. Id say at my max I have 16 tables going... but that really is the peak.. it depends on how deep/ well I run in the earlier tourneys. Then by about midnight I have 3 or 4 tourneys left that are getting deep and I can really focus well on them... 16 tables isnt much because its usually the earlier stages of the tourneys and Its basic ABC poker. Hopefully I dont finish til about 2 or 3 AM because that means I went deep.. Then ill usually play vids and chill for a while.. maybe watch some tube and generally try to roll into bed by 4am-9am. I like to take two days off a week... but normally I dont take any days off.. Wednesday night is usually pool league but that will be over in a few weeks.. Basically Ill take off Saturday if im burnt out so I can completely focus on the Sunday tourneys..
I am extremely excited to play a ton of events this year at the WSOP and I plan on seriously winning a bracelet... Me and my buddy AJ rented a very nice place out there for the month and it will be really exciting living in a place like Vegas for a decent amount of time... Sorry this was completely random but I felt I should update it. Best of luck at the tables.

Car show
Today I went to the Annual car show that Milwaukee has every year to check out the 08new releases and let me tell you these cars are AWESOMEEEE!! Technology has come so far in the last 10 or so years and I think its neat to see how we as a society have changed over the last few years.. Anyways next weekend I was going to go to Chi-town for " Chicago deep stack poker open" or something like that but my cousin called and wants me to go to a baseball camp with his son Carson. I can't wait!!! Seriously, growing up I never had an opportunity to go to sporting camps and its one of the things I really regret about my childhood.. Carson is a good baseball player but if his dad would let me mentor him in basketball I guarantee he would have his college paid for by the time senior year rolls around:)
Anyways.. nothing special on the pokre front.. been running awful late in tourneys.. it should hopefully turn around for tommorrow and lets hope I can get a 100k + score tommororw!!

2 Fts
I had two final tables yesterday resulting in two cashes over 1k. I had 8 cashes 1k+ on the month which shatters my previous monthly record of 6.. I didn't have any big scores this month besides the 6500 in the Sunday Million but I feel like im playing sicko poker and some good results should come soon.. Ive actually been running really bad deep in tourneys so if that can change expect me to pop off a nice one.
I just watched Good Luck Chuck... I thought this movie was absolutely awesome and I was literally laughing out loud while watching it..

Long trip alone
So yesterday I was able to get on a earlier flight back to Milwaukee for 200 bucks extra.. I thought it was worth it because of the amount I could make that night playing the tourneys.. If I woulda caught the later flight I would have missed a day of tourneys..Anyways I went deep in a few tourneys and flamed out in a few others.. no big cashes except for 15th in the nightly 100k on stars... I set my own personal record for cashes over 1k this month at 6.. last June or July I got 5 and was trying to break my record.. I think the reason why I broke it is cuz I am playing higher buy ins now.. which makes it a little easier when you dont have to get top 5 for a 1k+ score..Thats about it except someone give me the balls to talk to the hot chik at my gym that im to scared to talk to... glglgllglg

I'm Back!
Alrighty.. I decided to start this up again so I could vent on shit that is going on in my life and let people know how i'm doing in poker and other things.... Sorry if my grammar sucks but I was never good at english and dont plan on getting any better as I get older:) Anyways im layin around at the Venetian right now in Vegas and this whole trip was really awesome.. My good friends from Milwaukee came out for a couple days and we were able to paint the town pretty well one night... I ended up missing the first tourney that I was supposed to play because I got back to the hotel as the tourney was starting:(.. overall it was awesome and I was really looking forward to playing awesome poker..The first tourney I played was a 500 Venetian event... I was going to go play the 1k at the Bellagio but that was at 2pm and it was 12:30 and I was feening to play that minute.. .anyways IcuRaRook was at my opening table and a couple of other donkeys.. I really couldnt get anything going.. floated around average for a while and then busted when my KKvs A5 on 2-3-4 flop.. Overall though I thought I played sicko.. including folding QQ pre to a single re raisee from some old nit.. I also raised to 600 with AK.. it folded to a young internet player in the bb who made it 3k with 8k behind.. Icurarook said that he repopped him with 3-6 and im pretty sure he knew that I had decent success online .. I thoguht about it for a bit and shoved and he insta folded.. so that felt good.. Overalll though the Venetian is amazing.. this hotel is the epitome of first class.. my hotel room is amazing.. I truly feel at home.. except this place is WAY nicer.. marble floors.. 2 flat screens.. a dinner table.. a desk.. a L couch... just awesome... the room service is absolutely amazing.. that being said this trip has cost me ALOT of money.... I played the 2500 today( my biggest buy in tourney to date) and I get JJ Liu to my direct right in seat 1 and pbdrunks in seat 2 on my direct left... There was a few sick cooler hands that I probably coulda folded but I was pretty sick after a few of them so I wasnt in the right mindset.. the first one happened in the first level.. blinds 25-50.. we all have around 15000.. it folds to me in MP and I make it 150 with QdJd.. pbdrunks flat calls and everyone else folds... flop A-K-10 rainbow.. i bet 250.. pbdrunks calls.. turn K putting 2 spades up there.. I check.. he checks.. ( I was planning on check raising).. river 9s putting 3 spades up there.. at this point the pot is about 1k... and I bet 1100 into it.. pbdrunks thinks for a while and makes it 3500.. obviously my QJ is no good anymore but I cant find a fold.. he ended up having AA and I was thankful to be alive.. a few hands later JJ Liu limps utg.. i limp with QJss... pb limps.. and button makes it 250.. jj call.. i calls.. pb calls.. .. flop Q-Q-5 with two diamonds.. jj checks( maybve she folded pre) i check pb checks and raiser bets 200.. i make it 700 and pb tanks..raiser thinks for a bit and folds.. at this point I put pb on a hand like KQ QJ or Q10.. possibly 55 but I really doubt it.. and def not a flush draw cuz he wouldnt call 2 bets cold with just a f-draw.. anyways turn is 9d.. i check and he bets 1100.. i just call hoping to boat up on the river.. river Ah.. i check.. he checks and shows KQ... not much I can do there .. I guess I can dump it on the turn but thats such a sick spot.. I dunno maybe im just a calling station.. later on I lose a big pot with AA to KK on a K-9-3-8-q board wher I certainly should have gone broke.. Overall I thought I played decent but was only around for 2 hours.. I was really impressed with Pbs game and it was cool meeting him, Jeff Boski, ,and xtracey.. now im waiting for tommorrow to come so I can fly back to Milwaukee and take it easy for a few weeks.. Im not sure where ill go next.. maybe Atlantic City but I really doubt it.. I might just wait middle of March for Indiana Circuit( I think its in march) otherwise ill prolyl come back out to Vegas in April for the Caesars circuit( I think its in april ) and then that'll be it for traveling for me until after I spend June in Vegas..Overall things have been pretty shitty in my personal life.. ive been going through alot of bullshit that I shouldnt have to deal with including where I want to live next year... Im not sure if I want to move up to Appleton for a year and just take it easy and have my mom be able to take care of the furry ones whiile im traveling.. or move to Vegas and make a serious run at playing the circuit... What scares me the most is moving somewhere where I really don't know anyone.. and moving to a place like Vegas is very scary because of all the Vices that the city has to offer.
Im mentoring two players from FCP.. JJgoldy05 and Vtlaxer09.. Vtlax has been absolutely crushing lately and he has definately plugged a few spewy plays since ive been with him.. that being said he is a verrry good player and will absolutey tear things up soon if he wasnt such a nit with his BR... JJgoldy is a very solid player who understands poker very well.. Im actually very surprised that he hasnt had sicko results lately because he plays just as well if not better then me....It should be interesting what I can learn from mentoring these players and how much I can help improve their games.... On the poker front I won a couple small tourneys last week including going back to back in a 16 buy in on Stars which had like 600 people both nights.. to win a tourney with that many back to back is pretty sick and I def was playing goot. Lately it seems every final table I make I have been closing it out and I think thats somewhere I lacked in the past...I almost won the Sunday Million again last week but flamed out in 16th when I tried a sicko bluff wtih 5 high that got picked off by middle pair... Once I get back to MIL ill probably relax for a day and hopefully just clear my head.. Im still kinda tilted from how bad I ran in the 2500 today and would raelly like to clear my head before I start pumping out volumements.
I'm also starting mountain bike racing once the snow is gone and I can start training.. id also like to lose about 15 more lbs as im at 208-210 right now and I think at 195 id look pretty ripped;).. I was 235 last September so Ive def done something right.. Ive been eating alot better( except when im on the road) and ive been working out daily.. its finally paying off....I think its so hard to find a balance between poker and real life but I hope ive found it.. Ive been trying to separate poker from important things in my life and for the first time in a few years I can say im succeeding at it.. Sorry that this was a complete rambling but I really needed to clear my head..
I'll try updating this on the regular so I can look back after I win a bracelet and appreciate things.
Best of luck at the tables.
